ROLE SUMMARY AND IDEAL BACKGROUND

This is a key strategic planning position reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Supply Chain. The position will require an experienced planning manager that can drive results in a fast paced and demanding growth environment, leveraging his/her strong interpersonal and analytic skills to drive measurable performance results. The ability to work cross functionally to develop and execute on a monthly forecast is key to success in this position.  The ideal candidate must be comfortable operating in a dynamic global environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development and performance of the Global Demand Planning team
  • Drive the monthly Sales & Operations Planning cycle, leading alignment with Supply, Sales, Products, Engineering, and Finance teams
  • Lead the integration and implementation of Logility Demand Planning Optimization
  • Retain and develop a highly productive team while driving a succession pipeline
  • Implement cutting edge forecasting techniques such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Insure successful product transitions by quickly reacting to changes in demand and changes in supply and limiting the impact E&O & product gap outs
  • Innovate beyond the traditional way of planning, using enhanced safety stock modeling and intelligent product segmentation to create a continuous flow of availably for top products
  • Leverage Power BI and our IT team to create dashboards, automation, and actionable insights
  • Lead Continuous Improvement by developing strategies and programs to drive the global adoption of best practices, innovations in planning while allowing for regional flexibility
  • Develop end to end alignment and implement strategies across functions such as Operations, Supply Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, & Business operations


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent required
  • At least 10 years’ experience in relevant demand planning / leadership role

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Concentration in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • Experience in globally sourced and distributed products
  • Experience with data analytical tools for data discovery & modeling, visualization, and analysis
  • Experience with Logility or similar statistical forecasting software
  • Experience implementing analytical, data-driven improvements to business operations
  • Strong background in preparing data for analysis, KPI definition, reporting, creating analytical datasets and working with others to define simple to use data models


PROFESSIONAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Experience with SAP - Master Data, Production Planning, Material Management, and Inventory
  • Experience with Demand Solutions or similar statistical forecasting software and a working understanding of statistical modelling
  • Strong technical experience in materials requirements planning (MRP)
  • Knowledge of project modeling, supply chain processes, and business forecasting methodologies
  • Proven leadership in managing implementation of new processes and systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite software skills (Excel, Access, Word, SharePoint, One Note)
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to OSHA single person lift requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Office work – primarily using phone and PC
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
